Indigo’s 2021 highlights

As 2021 comes to a close and we start getting ready to welcome in the new year, we’re reflecting on the highlights and successes from the last 12 months – including client interviews and thought-provoking features – and we can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store!

At the bottom of the blog, we’ve also shared our opening times over the festive period…

Launching our monthly plastics recycling blog

To kick things off, we’d like to celebrate the launch of our new blog series – ‘Plastic recycling news from the world of waste’. Bringing you the latest developments from the waste and recycling industry, our plastic news series has proven to be a great success with Indigo’s network, and we’ll be continuing this trend into 2022!

From companies adopting greener solutions to discovering the latest industry trials and initiatives, we think it’s important to keep up to date with the sector’s hottest trends and must-know insights.

Catch up on the latest headlines from December, here.

Interviewing our fantastic customers and partners

Another addition to our blog is our client Q&A series – ‘Indigo chat’s to…’! Here at Indigo, our clients are at the heart of everything we do and we’re proud to showcase the work we’re undertaking together to contribute towards a more circular economy.

Our most recent Q&A featured Ulster Shredders, and you can catch up here.

Hitting the local press

Back in June, our director of recycling, Paul Rendle-Barnes, was put into the hot seat by Cheshire Business Magazine — discussing his career success so far as well as all things waste and recycling – in the publication’s ‘Spotlight Feature’.

As well as sharing insights into Indigo, Paul also commented on what he enjoys most about his job, and his greatest influence. Missed the original scoop? Head over to our blog!

Sharing our views with trade media

Back in April, Paul also chatted with Letsrecycle to share his views on the role local plastic recycling can – and should – play in helping the UK to reach a more circular economy.

Our managing director, Paul Kinley, was also featured in Recycling Product News for his views on plastic pollution – speaking about packaging design and human intervention.

These were a real highlight for us, because we love sharing our passion for the industry and banging the drum about the role the onshoring of our waste plays in helping to create a more closed loop, sustainable, and circular future.
